Paper Lantern

Sometime in the middle of 2007, I had this brainstorm on how I could better promote my books. “I know!” I thought, “I’ll create two-minute “movie trailers” and post them all over the Internet! People will be intrigued and want to read the book! Hollywood producers will come banging down my door like drunk teenagers at an Aerosmith concert and I’ll be rich!” It’s possible that I may have twirled my mustache and laughed an evil laugh at that moment. I can’t quite remember. (Being drunk on power will do that to you.)
I tossed this idea around in my head for months. I spoke to family and friends. The general consensus was, admittedly, that I did not need One More Thing To Do™. No, I did not. But let’s be honest… when has that ever stopped me?
And so it was in the summer of 2007 that I cast and shot my first moving pictures and I quickly moved into a full-time position as a freelance filmmaker and videographer. I’m currently in pre-production on my first feature-length film to shot in China in 2009.
My demo reel is available for your viewing pleasure at the official Paper Lantern Productions website. Enjoy.
